I'm not positive that I got a link from your site. But either way I open a link to a site that claimed to have downloadable movies. I signed up for a trial period. Found nothing of interest and forgot about it. After a period of time I started getting a pop up without a close box. The only way to get rid of it was C/A/Del or click on the continue button which took you to a page with three choices: two ways to pay for subscriptions or close the window. (Do not Pay) Then the original pop up began to show up more frequently. I tried to go to add/remove and uninstall the program. All the remove did was give a pop up to take back the subscribe page. Went to explorer and delete two folders to program. Went and emptied the recycle bin. Computer worked good for the remainder of that session. I also ran Ad-aware program, later found out that it had been corrupted so and to only allow Ad-aware to run an older version that would not detect the spyware. And would not allow it to be updated to a new version. Also it appears that it remove my audio device. When I go to control panel and look up audio it says no device.
The culprit is POPCORN.NET. (a goosed up movieland spyware) A google search shows that there is a start at a class action. Don't know. Have run a couple of spysweeper from a google search "remove popcorn.net" found files but rather than again subscribe over the internet I have taken it to a repair shop @ $35 an hour.
Expensive lesson in progress. FORGET ANY SITE THAT MENTIONS FREE MOVIE DOWNLOADS. ESPECIALLY POPCORN.NET.
