IE6 |

I recently had McAfee help me with a downloading problem by remote. Since then, when I open IE, it doesn't let me have more than one window open at a time. When I click on something, a new window opens and the old one disappears. Is there a way I can keep more than one window open again? I checked my McAfee program and can't find anything that is causing the problem.

Open the Control Panel and select Folder Options. Change under Browse Folders on the General Tab.
Up front. I despise McAfee. It cause to many problems and is blotware. Norton isn't far behind in my book. Most of us around here use the free version of AVG with good results. ![]() |

Nope, that didn't work. I guess I should contact McAfee and tell them about this problem since it started after a free upgrade. I am not impressed with them.
Thanks for your help. Sandy

Can you right click on a link and select "Open in new window" and keep the one you have also?

That didn't work either. I even disabled McAfee just to see and that didn't help either. I'm seriously thinking of going with your recommendation of AVG. Does it come with a firewall and if not, is there one you like?

I don't think getting rid of McAfee and changing to AVG and another firewall will fix the situation. I hope I/we run into some information that will.
AVG free version doesn't have a firewall. free.grisoft.com/doc/5390/lng/us/tpl/v5#avg-anti-virus-free Most of us use Zone Alarm free version for our firewall. Takes a little tweaking to get it settled down. (wants to notify you about everything) Zone Alarm free here ![]() |

I had forgotten that the McAfee upgrade included a pop up blocker. I turned it off and I am now able to have more than one window open.
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your help. I really appreciate it. Sandy
